Rena and Daniel, Homestay hosts
PP Daniel and his wife Rena live in Thrikkaipeta, Wayana, where they are very active in the village. Daniel takes a co-ordinating role with Kabani (our partner in Kerala) as well as driving a local taxi, and growing his own food. There are three generations of their family living at home – Daniel’s father, and their son Anatin share the house with them that Daniel built using bamboo. Their daughter Anna studies and works away but is actively involved in supporting the causes that they also support.
Daniel also grows Jackfruits and you see him in the picture here with some particularly good specimens.
